When you're ready
The Expanding Edge
Put your phone in airplane mode. Move at your own pace. You can stop at any time.
Phase 1 of 6
Arrive at the edge
Privacy assured, room at a comfortable temperature. Lie down or sit supported, undressed as much as feels right. Bring yourself close to orgasm in the way you know best. Move efficiently: this phase is transport, not the practice. The ritual begins the moment you feel orgasm approaching.
Phase 2 of 6
Hold the threshold
At the edge, stop or slow the stimulation until the peak stops climbing. Stay just below the point of no return. A cue you are close: the breath snags, sound rises on its own, or the hips or pelvic floor begin to move without you deciding. Long exhales, jaw loose, belly soft. A light engagement of the pelvic floor on the exhale can steady the charge. If that clenching pushes you over, soften completely and use breath alone. If you tip over, let it happen without judgment, rest, and begin again. The skill is hovering, not gripping.
Phase 3 of 6
Spread the charge
With arousal held high, take stimulation away from the genitals. Breathe through the mouth as if sipping air through a straw, drawing the heat up the spine and into the belly. Then sweep the hands slowly from the pelvis across the belly, chest, and throat along the same path the breath just took. Let the hips or spine move if they want to. Notice pleasure appearing in places you are not stimulating. If the charge collapses when stimulation leaves, return briefly to light contact, then try spreading again. That spreading is the whole point of the practice.
Phase 4 of 6
Return and widen
Return to stimulation and climb back to the edge. Hold it slightly longer than the last time, then spread the charge again. Aim for two or three circuits in this window. The stretch is time at the edge, not pushing past the point of no return. If you stay a little longer than feels comfortable, that stretch is often where capacity grows. Each round, let the edge feel wider and less like a cliff.
Phase 5 of 6
Choice
Choose: release, or completion without discharge. If you release, keep breathing and let orgasm move through the belly, chest, and throat. If you choose not to release, use Clench and Hold at the peak: inhale fully, hold the breath, and clench the whole body as if pressing into the bed or floor. When you are ready, let go. Rest both hands on the lower belly and let the charge settle there.
Phase 6 of 6
Integration
Both palms on the chest. Six slow breaths. Put on slow music that you enjoy, and lie down.
Coming back
After the ritual
- How far did the pleasure travel?
- Leave a gap before more stimulation. Capacity grows between sessions.
- Sometime tomorrow, notice once whether arousal feels more spread, or less urgent, than usual.
